Notes
: This Tequila is produced in Orange County, California. An interesting hybrid of maceration/infusion rather than the usual attempt at flavoring spirits which at best involves extracts, at worst chemical equivalents and dyes. This Tequila infusion use triple distilled Tequila and real chili peppers infused into the base spirit to achieve its flavors. This is part of a series including cranberry, orange, and lemon (and that's just their vodkas).

AppearanceClear, slightly yellow/tan color, probably a result of the chili oil clear, with no sediment. On swirling, it leaves a clear coat on the inside of the glass then legs developing turning into droplets.

First Impression: Intriguing mix of chilis, chili oil and tequila. Tickles the nose with the scents of brine, chili, and spices.

Taste:Tequila followed by a knifelike entry by the chilis as they race across your tongue, followed by a rather out of place water sensation from the low proof. About 10 seconds for the burn to start and about a minute for it to go away with the water taste somewhere in the middle. A very idiosyncratic spirit/infusion.

DrinksA a nice flavoring to use instead of a hot sauce or pepper vodka but milder than either. Think of it as a kinder, gentler (and lower proof) alternative.

Final Thoughts: An interesting idea, more of a spice/flavoring agent than a spirit in my opinion. Problem is, do you like it enough to buy it? Does it have a niche? We are not sure - but it is an interesting bottle to play with.

Bottle: Distinctive flattened oval shape and attractive silk screened graphics wire wrap neck wooden cap topping off the of chili peppers floating the bottle make for a nice presentation.
