Type: Eau De Vie A nicely done apple brandy using local apples.
A distillate made entirely from a particular product – usually a fruit and usually not aged although it can be. Example a kirshwasser (cherry water) is an eau de vie made from fermented cherries and distilled. An eau de vie is a particular form of brandy.
Brandies are a wider category which can include grape distillates that are flavored by another product. An eau de vie is strictly made from one type of product ( again such as cherries,pears, plums, raspberries, etc.,)

This is a Eau de Vie, and distilled in pot stills in small batches. It does not use bulk ethanol, sugar, artificial colorants, or chemical flavors like some (O.K., most) of its competitors. It uses a much more true (but expensive) process requiring about 5 pounds of for each bottle.
This is a Eau de Vie (more specifically a Kirsch) made from Montmorenci cherries from Northwestern New York process requiring about 5 pounds of cherries for each 200 ml bottle.
Highly recommended as one of the best.
