If you like Jack Daniels over cognac this one is for you.
Nicely done complex herbal liqueur of the Czech/German school of herbal liqueurs .
At first whiff, the coffee has a robust espresso, and hints of chocolate smell with a touch of vanilla. Dark roasted coffee hits first, then alcohol but in a somewhat understated way.
Black as pitch in the bottle, spicy dark fruits and citrus, then herbaceaus and slightly astringent (gentian?) at first whiff.
A wonderful German Raspberry eau de vie
One of the best Kirschwasser available in the U.S. at present (We are always looking for more)
Used mostly as a digestive aid, could be used in cocktails as a flavoring.
An excellent pear brandy.
