As complex and baroque as a steampunk creation of any kind we have encountered. Well crafted but makes Hendricks seem mainstream and tame by comparison.
A good serviceable cognac, but coasting on its marketing in the price/quality ratio.
The Whole Earth Catalog of Small Distillers (for North America)
Nicely done young Rhum Agricole
An excellent starter whiskey to get the fear of flavor vodkabots to drink something with taste rather than as a delivery system for ethanol.
Very nicely done for a young style Belgian Genever. about as flavorful as they can legally get – literally !
Pricey but a lot of quality for the price.
Nicely but not overly smoky, a good starter mescal.
Spend an extra $1 per cocktail for a seriously good 8 year old rum rather than that cheap crap. You will thank yourself now and tomorrow morning.
Pretty amazing for such a young whiskey.
Think of it as a very flavorful vodka or an excellent white rum and you won’t be far wrong.
This is an eau de vie made from Swiss raspberries in small copper pot stills.
Makes a Aviation cocktail that is almost better than sex (well, depending on your partner and/or bartender).
While decent, this Vintage 2002 is very light in the taste and finish department. Not one of our favorite vintages.
Much heavier in all departments than former releases. Could almost believe it was a Scotch…
A outstanding corn whiskey that is 1/2 the cost of some of the competition and a excellent product on its own merits.
Buying a bottle of this vodka is not only a political/ideological statement but makes sense from taste point of view.
A great gin by some best the experts in gin, bartending and drinking. An excellent, solid gin.
One of the best Sloe Gins out there.
A more complex and fruitier Jack that is a bit more plush.
A very civilized Tennessee Whisk(e)y of wonderful complexity. Highly recommended!
The other Tennessee Whisk(e)y – much older, more muscular and flavorful than the other Tennessee Whisk(e)y .
An interesting and refreshing take on a London Dry Gin. Differently not your mothers’ old gin, but not so weird that you can’t recognize it AS a gin. Definitely recommend seeking it out!
A lovely gin made in stupendously small batches, even by craft standards. Bottles of this will be as rare as unicorn horns, and taste far better !
An excellent choice for both the novice trying an absinthe for the first time or a jaded connoisseur …..
Nicely done 4 grain white whiskey that is mellow and delightful on its own.
It doesn’t get more exotic, organic or complex than this gin.Not a London Dry but a New World Gin using more exotic ingredients than anyone else and all of them organic.
A very solid New York State Empire Rye at a decent price- unlike a number of the others
It is the “Arts and Crafts Movement” version of vodka.
