My least personal favorite of all their drinks – more a personal taste issue than a statement about the quality of the soda itself.

Notes: Dry Soda (dry as in “not sweet”) has developed a line of sodas that were meant to have a minimum of sugar and a emphasis on taste. Other flavors include Blood Orange, Cucumber, Juniper, Lavender, Rhubarb,  and Vanilla Bean.

Appearance: Nice fizz/carbonation to it. Perfectly clear, the company did not feel compelled to color it with some chemicals just for shelf appeal.

First Impression: Nice lemon gras smell to it – which is sort of a light lemon /lime kind of smell to it that I think Sprite shoots for. Slightly odd savory notes almost a little celery like add a odd taste unless it is well chilled.

Taste:  Mildly dry with a whisper of lemon grass taste. Pairs well with food,  particularly fish or seafood. Compliments many things nicely without overwhelming your taste buds or carpet bombing them with too much flavor and sugars unlike most of the lemon/lime drinks out there.

Drinks: Works well in drinks were you want taste and not sugar, stickiness and intrusive flavor. Pairs and plays well in both cocktails and with many different foods.

Final Thoughts:  My least personal favorite of all their drinks – more a personal taste issue than a statement about the quality of the soda itself.  Still a very nice thinking/conscious persons soda. Low sugar, nice unusual taste and not over done like some many others out there. O. K., it costs a bit more than a generic soda ( but less than a number of other high end sodas) but if you are using quality spirits it’s a waste to use cheap mixer – particularly in a drink that doesn’t have a lot else in it (no fruit juices, liquors, etc.). You wouldn’t use chlorinated tap water, so why use cloying dulling mixers?

Bottle: Generic clear glass, 12 oz size .Information is printed directly on the glass to save paper and be environmentally friendly and eminently recyclable. Print in this case is lemon grass stalk yellow green.
