This vodka is one of the few vanilla vodkas that does not use a load of artificial vanilla flavouring and corn syrup.
Notes: This vodka is one of the few vanilla vodkas that does not use a load of artificial vanilla flavouring and corn syrup. It is made in Schiedam, Holland and is part of a large portfolio of flavored vodkas including, Citroen, Coconut, Double Espresso (Colored), Dutch Chocolate , Expresso, Mango, Melon, Orange, Pineapple, Pomegranate, Raspberry, Wild Apple, and of course a regular “unflavored” version.
Appearance: Absolutely clear, on swirling it leaves a a thick clear coat on the inside of the glass and a few legs developing slowly. It is, however, well blended in that the essential oils do not separate from the alcohol base, a difficult trick when dealing with real, fresh ingredients. Well done!
First Impression: Madagascar vanilla with a hint of some other vanilla beans to produce a wonderful balanced bouquet of vanilla but a idiosycrantic one. Almost a butter cream, with a slightly waxy smell developing, and sweet confectionary layer to it.
Taste: Thick, almost oily, sweet body, with a creamy finish with a hint of something I cannot quite identify. Reminds me of a good “advocaat” stripped down.
Drinks: Mixes well for anything calling for vanilla or use it as a substitute for a sweet schnapps (such as butterscotch). Makes for a interesting variation of a Jolly Homo.
Final Thoughts: A vodka made with real vanilla not some chemical equivalent. Skillful blend of diffent types of vanilla to make a unique flavor profile. As a clear Vanilla vodka it also allows for a cocktail that doesn’t look like a White Russian or other cream drink.
Bottle:A frosted yet distinctive tall cylindrical bottle square shoulders marvelous graphics and a clear window to a reverse silkscreen painting. Attractive graphics (as in all their series) and gold neck foil.
