Type: Honey Base Smooth as glass, flavors delicate as crystal, and extremely well made from one of natures most expensive ingredients with an obsessive attention to detail and quality. Outstanding !
Type: Corn Whiskey A stunningly different form of corn whisky, that is both groundbreaking and delightful.
A truly excellent whiskey bottled at the right time for its high points on aging and taste profile rather than waiting for an arbitrary older age to command more money at the price of quality.
Type: Eau De Vie, New York State, New York State apples A real craft made applejack with apples direct from their farm and nothing else !
Beats a lot of moonshine products and naturally gluten free too !
Type: Cuban Style If I could I would replace my blood with this.
May have to settle for one of the spirits I would have as my last taste on earth if I could plan such things.
Type: Damson Gin Excellent liqueur to explore new cocktail frontiers with.Similar but better than a Sloe Gin
A very well-made example of a very much overlooked eastern European specialty liqueur.
Type: Borderies If you like cognac, you need to buy a bottle of this for your collection and expand your cognac horizons. If you don’t normally drink cognac, try this one, it will change your mind.
Type: Calvados Pays D'Auge An Exceptional Calvados that is a wonderful winter dram and also an exceptional ingredient for a special cocktail.
Type: Calvados Pays D'Auge, Liqueur A lovely expression of an apple liqueur made with high quality, aged, Calvados as a base, and not sugared to death.
Type: Rhum Agricole A Beautifully Done Semi Dry Rhum Agricole. A treat to both eye and palette.
Type: London Dry (Newer Style ), London Dry Style Overall a nicely done, thoughtful expression of a London Dry Style Gin made carefully in small batches.
A lovely true, aged genever that really shows how great genevers can be like. Highly Recommended!
Type: Cuban Style If only all 18 year olds were as complex, subtle, and lovely as this one….
Type: Barrel Proof Highly recommend this particular release as the pick of the litter for this year! Less oak and char notes and a touch sweeter.
Grab it if you can!
Type: Barrel Proof Favorite release of this Elijah Craig Barrel Proof series in a few years!
Much better IMHO than a number of the releases especially lately.
A revelation in the aged gin category where less(time) is actually more in the impact. Please bury me with a supply of this.
Type: Crème One of the best Crème de Framboise we have ever had, and thankfully available in the U.S. !
Type: Four Grain Whiskey, New York State, Non-chill filtered A very nicely done Four Grain Whiskey especially for a whiskey so young and from such a small barrel. A real standout !
A lovely gin made in stupendously small batches, even by craft standards. Bottles of this will be as rare as unicorn horns, and taste far better !
Type: Empire Rye A very solid New York State Empire Rye at a decent price- unlike a number of the others
Surprisingly pleasant and drinkable, despite having a large, venomous, pit viper in it. We put the geek back into Spirits Geek with this one.
Type: Cuban Rum Exotic, lovely, forbidden and inexpensive. A rare combination of my favorite things and the Havana Club Rum to buy at the lower end of the price range.
A stunning achievement in both whiskey distilling and aging. While Parker Beam did not live to see this whiskey bottled I am sure he would be proud of it.
Type: Bottled in Bond, Straight I’m pretty sure if Parker Beam was still alive he would drink this – it’s that good.
Delicious, complex and smooth everything you might want for a great price.
Type: Barrel Aged Gin Best Barrel Aged Gin We Have ever had – and that is saying a LOT. Subtle, complex, balanced, deadly smooth. World Class.
Type: London Dry, London Dry Style If humankind were as subtle, smooth, and balanced as this gin the world would be a much finer place.
Type: American Whisky, American White Whiskey, Rye Best unaged rye whiskey we have ever had !
Type: Barrel Proof One of the best buys in bourbon right now. Yes, it is a relatively mass-produced whiskey, but it is a nicely done barrel-proof release of good bourbon to start with and the price/value ratio is a lot higher than a lot of newer craft whiskies that frankly are not as good – especially for the money.
Recommend you go out and buy this one. Develops some interesting brandy-like characteristics upon slight dilution with water from barrel proof.
