Type: Wheat Always a great whiskey, unlike many over the years they have not changed the age or found a way to cheapen it at a cost to the taste, Was and still is a great whiskey.
Type: Barrel Proof Well done and tasty barrel proof wheat whiskey proves that wheat does have a place in whiskey making as a primary and not just an adjunct ingredient in a whiskey.
Type: Bitters Type 2 Herbal/Fruit Very much a further step in the right direction, with a bit more polished herbal enhancement and a far better package that celebrates its return to its roots both literal and metaphorical.
Type: Barrel Proof Another release of a full and robust Barrel Proof Elijah Craig to enjoy and add to your whiskey archive!
Type: Barrel Proof Always a good solid bourbon. This batch seems a touch heavier on the nose in a nice way and delivers a full-bodied hearty bourbon at a modest price
Type: Barrel Proof Have to say not a fan of this release. I used to think I generally liked the September releases better in any given year, but this one seems to be a bit out of balance to me
Type: Barrel Proof Decent release and worth getting if you can find it.
Type: Barrel Proof One of the drier expressions of the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Series
Type: Barrel Proof Favorite release of this Elijah Craig Barrel Proof series in a few years!
Much better IMHO than a number of the releases especially lately.
Type: Barrel Proof One of the best Elijah Craig releases I have ever had – and that is saying a lot ! HIGHLY RECCOMEND ! It may not be the best whiskey I have had this year but it is certainly up there and the price to value ratio compared to everything else out there is astounding.
Interesting , but somewhat , shall we say simpler, (not to use the dirty word-light) expression of an Elijah Craig bourbon. Buy to compare to their other expressions and maybe use to break the newbies in.
Type: Small Batch One of the cheapest drinkable bourbons around . Usually can be found for $20 or so which is a steal these days for anything in a glass bottle and halfway decent.
Type: Single Barrel Drier and woodier than previous vintages, giving you a rich oakiness similar to a much older bourbon without the cost.
Pay more, get less, but collectible I guess? If you want to collect them all or want to show off a limited availability bottle go ahead, otherwise pass on this one.
Type: Bottled in Bond, Straight I’m pretty sure if Parker Beam was still alive he would drink this – it’s that good.
Delicious, complex and smooth everything you might want for a great price.
Type: Barrel Proof Decent if not spectacular. More of an investment than a drinking bottle for the low-life bottom feeders that engage in such a trade as it will no doubt be a limited edition and much sought-after bottle. Yes, I think a Heaven Hill aficionado would enjoy it quite a bit and it is worth trying if you can, but maybe not buying an entire bottle as it is pricey for what it is. Leave it to the speculators and shallow egotists and buy some of their more modestly priced releases for enjoyment.
A touch more oily or buttery than the last few releases with pronounced Spanish cedar and oak notes to it.
Type: Straight One of my favorite releases of this bourbon to date !
Type: Wheated Bourbon Frankly not as big a fan of this release compared to those in the past.
Type: Barrel Proof A nice somewhat incremental improvement over the last batch with a bit more dark fruit flavors than the last batch. Nicely Done !
Recommend you go out and buy this one. Develops some interesting brandy-like characteristics upon slight dilution with water from barrel proof.
Interesting, decent, but on the whole a bit too spare, lean, and a bit over the hill.
Type: Bottled in Bond Old Fitzgerald 15 Year Old is a nice whiskey, but I think it is a bit pricey for what it is.It lacks the complexity I would look for in that age and price range personally speaking.
A nice release but the price is a bit much for what it is IMHO. I think this will be one for the collectors and not one for people who want to drink them.
A Damn nice bourbon that harks back to an older style. Restores my faith in humanity and Heaven Hill in particular.
Type: Corn, Malt ( Barley), Rye A bit overdone in the char department for me. Not a fan.
Type: Heavy Char (# 5 Char Level) Interesting Wheat Whiskey with a particularly heavy barrel char.
Type: Non-chill filtered, Single Barrel A nice if not spectacular bourbon. Part of the money you spend is donated to an excellent cause. So when has NPR offered you a deal like that?
Type: Rye A Damn Manly kind of whiskey.Large, intense, and worth getting to know. A man or a woman who wants to try a old school rye needs to try this one.
Type: High Rye A well done high rye bourbon made in extremely small batches by Evan Williams in a one-barrel a day still at their new Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. Get it before it is hunted to extinction like the Buffalo Trace Experimental Series was years ago!
