A very nicely done Four Grain Whiskey especially for a whiskey so young and from such a small barrel. A real standout !
Another notable addition or should I say another addition to the succession of barrel releases of their Four Grain Malt Whiskey.
Even though it is far younger it is very reminiscent of a good Lowland Scotch and other fine malt whiskies .
Nicely done 4 grain white whiskey that is mellow and delightful on its own.
Take the rough edges of the morning with flavor and style.
A lovely dry expression of a flavorful molasses rum.
Well made micro distilled aquavit.
Overall The Lakeward Spirits Evergreen Gin reminds me of a Vieux Systeme Genever with the lovely grain base expression of the distillate.
A very earthy herbal gin in the Genever style. Almost a Fernet gin
It is very rare for us to chose a distiller twice in a row to have a product as spirits of the month but Last Shot Distilling has come out with another great product
Amazing stuff for a 1 year old whiskey- Drinks like a much older Macallan or Redbreast
Very pleasant path to a lost afternoon.
An outstanding whiskey for a young small barrel bourbon from a distillery barely older than it is .
A lovely, full on malted grain whiskey reminiscent of Japanese and Irish Whiskies and also of fine Vieux system Genever .
Winner of Master Distiller “World War of Whiskey” and Chris was named Master Distiller for this one.
A vanilla forward citrus and juniper gin. Very interesting and has the makings for a whole new take on gin cocktails.
While possibly a challenge to fully comprehend for a novice rum enthusiast, this is high art for a starving artist price.
Another later batch of Red Saw Rye that was aged a bit longer in the same size barrel but shows intriguing progress/evolution. Read the full review…
A really outstanding beer derived type of whiskey with a truly lovely taste of pleasant citrusy and piney hops – not the usual rancid tom cat piss smell you get from some hops. A crossover whiskey from the beer and hops making for an extremely drinkable whiskey. Slap a nipple on the bottle and send me to bed.
A well done high rye bourbon made in extremely small batches by Evan Williams in a one-barrel a day still at their new Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. Get it before it is hunted to extinction like the Buffalo Trace Experimental Series was years ago!
Overall a very interesting and unique bourbon well worth hunting down.
