Very Interesting and complex for the money. Definitely a great deal of taste and refinement for less money than anyone else in that price range.
Probably one of the best single malt scotches out there for the money in the 15 to 25 year old category .
One of the more floral and fruity single malts even among Speyside Drams, that I have had in a long time and a great bargain too!
Another Benriaxh Single Malt this on with more rum barrel influence and peat added to the mix.
Still a great buy at the price point and a bit more traditional ( read somewhat peaty)
A rather dramatic departure from the Smoky Ten, showing a fairly heavy peat smoke coupled with age and some interesting notes from the marsala influence.
A delicate variation/iteration from its sibling the Original Ten with an interesting, subdued yet flavourful melange. Also, Damn cheap compared on both age and quality in the Scotch arena.
This is the latest release from Chivas Brothers and their master blender Colin Scott. First seen in 1997, this is a new upscale package for this 18 year old blend.
A well-considered and well-done new expression of a classic at an attractive price !
If only all 12 year olds were this mature – I’d like them a lot better.
Our first ever group review !
