40 Fuegos Pisco
Type: Small Batch A great Chilean Pisco for a very reasonable price.
A great Chilean Pisco for a very reasonable price.
You could pay twice the money for something that doesn’t taste as good as this.
A very flavorful aged applejack that is very smooth and not a lot of money for the quality you get.
One of my favorite around the house bourbons
A decent high rye bourbon of the old school.
A Alabama legend goes legit.
Seems a touch drier and more lean or ascetic than previous bottlings
Wonderful 17 year old bourbon.
One of the cheapest drinkable bourbons around . Usually can be found for $20 or so which is a steal these days for anything in a glass bottle and halfway decent.
A rather idiosyncratic gin that is more of a bitter tonic than a gin to me.
A very civilized Tennessee Whisk(e)y of wonderful complexity. Highly recommended!
Next time I break my leg skydiving or BASE jumping I want this instead of morphine.
Subtlety different from the 2004, but still wonderful
Somewhat fruitier on the nose and has a lot more rye punch and oak than last years version (2005)
The 2011 release is somewhat less fruitier on the noise and is generally a bit lighter in character despite one of the higher barrel proofs in a while.
Nicely subtle especially for a one year old brandy.
A very well done honey brandy
A very unique bourbon, great example of a young, but well done whiskey.
The grain is 100% malted barley -The whiskey is put in fresh charred oak barrels of various sizes 3 gallon to 14 gallons being used with whiskey from smaller barrels aged less than the larger barrels.
Nicely done 12 year old whiskey. Nicely balanced age and wood profile.
Overall a nicely done apple brandy.
Makes a nice substitute for bourbon in many drinks.
Not only do you get the extra proof but a lot of subtle aging characteristics and aromas that would have been lost in the proofing down process! Worth the extra money for the extra proof and all the goodness that comes with it!
A deftly made slightly sweet maple spirits aged with Oak Staves
Unique and delicious in more ways than you can comfortably conceive. A singular single malt in many respects with lots of appeal.
While possibly a challenge to fully comprehend for a novice rum enthusiast, this is high art for a starving artist price.
Highly recommended and may just be one of the best piscos we have had – and that’s saying a lot !
An excellent Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey from on of Our Favorite Brewers ( they make outstanding beer too !)
Multilayered, complex, delicate and subtle, with a nice assertiveness and depth.
Unmatched for subtlety, complexity and overall flavor.
