Books

Along with the obvious drinks-mixing manuals of which there are legion, I will also be reviewing more specialized books on different topics such as bartending and in-depth studies of a particular spirit such as cognac, bourbon, etc.

I will also try to review books covering the social aspects of drinking both serious scholarly works and other well. . . less scholarly works! (Hunter S. Thompson's Rum Diaries springs to mind!)

Authors are in some ways similar to reviewers, you will find people who write a certain way that you will enjoy more than others, they also use different types of formats (especially in drinks books) to write and present information and have different personal tastes and inclinations. So read as many as possible and keep track of your favorite author's efforts.
