Decent but not overly exciting, it is a safe bet if not enticing.
Notes: This vodka is made in Holland for Jim Beam. Recently outscored “Avian Fashion Victim Vodka” in some tastings. Five times distilled, but unfortunately, not much more information to go on.
Appearance: Clear, on swirling, it leaves a thick clear coat on the inside of the glass and shows some legs.
First Impression: Spicy grain, slightly grassy notes. No harsh esters or off smells to it. Smells of a decent grade of grain and good distillation.
Taste: Slightly spicy, nice thick mouth feel, some mild heat to finish.
Drinks: Works well in all the usual vodka drinks, good thick body to it
Bottle: A tall clear glass a sort of flattened crescent shaped bottle. Fluted on the front side and bulls eye type circles on the back.
Final Thoughts: A decently made vodka- especially for one as widely available as this one. Can be found discounted in a number of places so worth looking for as a bargain vodka. Decent but not overly exciting, it is a safe bet if not enticing. If you want a middle of the road, flavorless vodka type of vodka, it certainly beats a lot of the competition.
