If you liked cherry cough medicine as a child you can graduate to this.
Notes:Produced by Barton Brands which was part of Constellation then sold to Sazerac. Sazerac has acquired a number of lower end brands from Constellation and this was part of the portfolio.
Designed as a cheap lower proof (60 proof) flavored vodka.
Appearance: Clear violent cherry or grenadine red of a particularly artificial candy like shade.
First Impression: Smells like a Ludens cough drop or maybe a whole bag of gummy cherry life savers. Rather plastic sort of cherry smell to it.
Taste: Sweet cherry cough drop medicine flavor or almost exactly like a cherry tootsie pop lollypop . Scary chart they made it so close to a candy taste – will refrain from comments about underage appeal. But certainly for younger drinkers in taste, not something anyone past college age would really drink IMHO.
Drinks: Great to color a drink red and not sweeten it as much as grenadine while imparting a artificial cherry taste.
Bottle: Fairly generic glass bottle – but it is at least glass- we give them credit for that. Plastic stick-on label with mod type graphics (including a background that looks like a sound wave graphic). Particularly nasty sort of neck wrap, reminds us of a condom that has exceeded it’s shelf life wraps around the screw cap closure
Other: O.K. I really don’t get a lot of cheap, candy like taste and appearance, or fake child juice tasting vodka. If I want to make a vodka taste like something I will infuse it myself, or if I want particular flavors in a drink, it’s called a cocktail, and I will add the requisite real ingredients.
Final Thoughts: That being said this stuff is not as horrible as many but for $8 I don’t expect a lot. Cheaper than cherry cough medicine to get drunk on if that was your former tipple of choice with less other ingredients while keeping the taste and color. Otherwise fairly nasty, cheap tasting stuff. Flip side is if you need really cheap vodka to make a sweet punch or drink with for that low budget frat party this will work for you.

Fairly basic website with little information. Recipe section is pretty laughable too, not much imagination at all.
