Better than Svedka- but that is not saying much.
Notes: This vodka is produced in Kalby, Sweden (land of vikings, Ikea, lute fisk, and aquavit, among other things). Made from “Premium Grain,” but not specified, so we are assuming wheat. Chill filtered through frozen charcoal
Appearance: Faultlessly clear, on swirling, it leaves a thin clear coat on the inside of the glass which then transforms very slowly into legs and droplets.
First Impression: Not a lot going on. Somewhat sweet but sharp smell to it.
Taste: Rather sweet and thick entry with a nasty sort of burning finish.
Drinks: It was good for a budget brand in most mixed drinks.
Bottle: Very simple clear glass bottle that mimics a Svedka bottle.
Final Thoughts: Certainly cheap enough – competes against Absolut and Svedka as a low cost Swedish Vodka but frankly there are Russian and Polish vodkas that are better for the same money. Better than Svedka- but that is not saying much.
Website: http://www.rokkvodka.com
A somewhat mediocre website without a lot of real content about the distillery. High point (such as it is) funny video, in sort of an Adam Samberg/SNL vein.
