This Vodka is made in Holland by a family who has been distilling for generations.
Notes: This Vodka is made in Holland by a family who has been distilling for generations. It is part of a large portfolio including a gin and a stable of flavored vodkas including ; Acai – Blueberry, Citroen, Coconut, Dutch Chocolate, Espresso (Uncolored), Double Espresso (Colored), Mango, Melon, Orange, Pineapple, Raspberry, Vanilla, and Wild Apple.
Appearance: Clear, on swirling it leaves a thick clear coat on the inside of the glass and shows some legs.
First Impression: Spicy grain, no harsh esters or off smells to it. Creamy, almost thick smell to it denoting a good grain body and no off notes.
Taste: Slightly spicy, nice mouth feel, appropriate, mild heat to finish. Nicely done. Silky, slightly oily body to it even at room temperature. Chilled, it is viscous as a mineral oil. Be careful.
Drinks: Works well in all the usual vodka drinks, wonderful body and slightly sweet taste make it very versatile choice – even for vodka.
Bottle: A frosted yet distinctive tall cylindrical bottle square shoulders marvelous graphics and a clear window to reverse silkscreen paintings by of course,Van Gogh. Attractive graphics (as in all their series) and blueneck foil.
Final Thoughts: A well made vodka- especially for one as widely available as this one. In the crowded field of $20 + Premium vodkas out there, many of the big names out there aren’t as good as this one. A excellent choice if you are seeking a alternative to the usual goose and for less money. Also a chance to get out of your usual rut and surprise your friends and bartender.
