A truly excellent whiskey bottled at the right time for its high points on aging and taste profile rather than waiting for an arbitrary older age to command more money at the price of quality.
An absolutely amazingly useful device you will suddenly find you need to use for almost any infusion, syrup, oleo sacrum, etc., Oh, and its great to cook with too !.
Type: Cognac There are XO cognacs out there and then there is this. Makes the more well known XO cognacs pale by comparison.
A handmade piece of art. A unique standout from the usual in many ways.
Type: Multiple Barrel Aged A testament to the art and experience of a master. This complex, delicate, and delicious whiskey shows what is possible by using multiple wood/barrel stocks to take bourbon to a level usually only seen with a fine Scotch or Japanese whiskey.
Interesting, decent, but on the whole a bit too spare, lean, and a bit over the hill.
Type: Bottled in Bond An interesting whiskey but I would fail to recommend this particular release for the money involved.Check the review for more details.
Our 100th review of Heaven Hill products fortuitously landed on this bottle !
An excellent Old Fitzgerald release and the pick of the rather late litter of previous releases. Highly Recommend !
Type: Cognac Barrel Finished An outstanding Malt Whiskey created in collaboration with Master Distiller and Blender Alain Royer of Frapin Cognac.
One of my personal favorite spirits of the past year.
Type: American Whisky Interesting and complex , but ultimately not worth the spend IMHO
Type: Barrel Proof Very smooth andd flavorful, just wish it was a bit older.
Type: Barrel Proof Excellent rye difficult to find one of this age and quality for the price.
Type: Blended Will change your mind ( for the better) about blended whiskies. Significantly raises the bar for blended whiskies in general, and the use of American Light whiskies in particular !
Type: Single Barrel, Straight Rye Raid juniors college fund for this one.
Type: Anejo Very smooth but intense.
